A haiku:
Isaac Newton's laws
Enable Albert Einstein
To catch a thrown ball.
(This goes out to sibling unit, who could use a funny right now.)
(waves hankie) You'll be missed, Spirit.
(and isn't it sad that I found out about this through the flist of a LJ-friend?)
Meanwhile, there's clearly still more out there for them (and other probes) to discover.

...I has a pleege.
(I'm always the last one to get it.)
Never mind, one thing to raise my spirits was a random encounter with a previously unknown Who fan outside the office building as I was headed out. Random person with a Seal of Rassilon tattoo who was complaining that most of her friends don't know what it means. And I diiiiid.
Cadbury's Creme Eggs.
Just in time for Easter.
Finally got some.
(trust me on this, they're hard to find in my neck of the woods.)

Jonathan "Morg" Morgenstern attended Trinity College, Cambridge (somewhat by mistake – the object of his hero-worship actually attended Trinity Hall).
Mel Sajenic is a traceur, or practitioner of Le Parkour.
Marcus "Cobra" King (fka Markus Koenig) suffers from rhotacism which is why he pretends to be American when in fact he hails from the Midlands. (He's Jewish, so fakes Brooklyn.)
Everyone is subject to the EuroCarte biometric ID system, whether they like it or not...
...Well, I missed my chance to meet Shaun that particular night, but wasn't particularly bothered. (I had plenty of other opportunities.)
Instead, took some time out to get to know the nabe a bit better, and ended up taking the Big Blue Bus (line 3, which stops just outside the hotel parking lot) to Santa Monica. A public bus. The concierge was almost apologetic about the fact it cost a princely 75 cents one-way. Heck, if it only covered more of the city I'd willingly have paid more! Never mind.
First impressions: like someone'd taken a butter knife to a metropolis the size of NYC and spread it, and spread it, and spread it. (Though, actually, considering the population stats, it's more like someone stapled a couple of NYCs together before spreading.) And then added far too many auto-shops, or auto-friendly bars and restaurants.
Haven't had time to 'liveblog' as I hoped. Updates will be forthcoming.
Meanwhile a little link of use to a forthcoming AladdinFic:
(was Angus MacGyver really another renegade Time Lord working undercover on Earth?)
